I have spent the last few days installing XP and a few apps on an old PC for a friend. When I got it from her it was riddled with crap and it was easier to wipe and rebuild than repair.
The entire Os and Apps are under 4GB. I am keen to find some way of backing up the data so that if i need to do this again it will take an hour rather than an evening.
I was thinking of simply copying the contents of the HD onto a DVD, that way assuming the partition table is intact, I could boot from a BartPE disk and copy it back.
Is there any reason why this wouldn't work?
