Still why would you want to type on cheapass keyboard.

You can usually get free IBM clicky keyboards and quality Cherry ones from businesses who upgraded.

In my defense, I was just sitting here typing something when, without warning, the left column of keys on the numpad, the space bar, and the delete key just stopped working. The computer doesn't get moved around, and the cable is routed in such a way that it isn't ever pulled upon, and all the other keys were working fine. I even rebooted the computer first thinking maybe it was a software glitch.

As for getting a nice keyboard, that would have required spending more than $5 or taking more time and effort to go looking for a free one.

Personally I think it's worth spending the most money on a keyboard, mouse and monitor since that is what you interact with daily.

At home I have an MS Natural keyboard and a Logitech G5. At work however, there's barely enough room for a keyboard and a mouse, and it's pretty much just for running the video processor for the sports bar screen and looking up TV schedules.

Cherry G80-1800 (OK, that's not cheap... but I'm with Hele anyway, which is part of the reason I've sold my Apple Bluetooth Keyboard again - it doesn't feel good. I'd take one of those new Apple keyboards, though!)

I picked up Cherries G83 from some place that upgraded. Dissasembled, washed in dishwasher, left them to dry for 2 weeks, then reassembled, they're almost like new. Though I mainly type on laptop keyboards lately.

It's hard to find good keyboard over here...usually even businesses were extremelly cheap about it. So...either cheapest ones, or "christmass tree" like that aren't much better :/

(though I guess I got used to cheapest, "normal" Logitech ones...)
