    Does the g400 support DVD, if so how god and how nice?.

    Intel 440bx, pentium 3 500mhz, 128mb pc100, 13gb, windows 98dk, lan and isdn cards, MATROX G400 32 agp, 17"triniton, Sound
    blaster 128pci, logitech wingman extrem and a 6xdvd drive.

    the g400 dose support dvd andd it looks fantastic easyly beats my old cl dxr2 card. from what ive read only one other chip has more dvd support builtin and thats the ati chips. matrox's tv out has also been one of the best too. i don't use or need a hardware decoder my opinion.(dxr3 aka hollywood plus is soposed to look better but not by much.)

    my system has arived. all together and if i new about the usb bug in 98 with this board i would have been fiished a lot sooner.

    msi 6167 mobo k7 500 wk41 now at 650.(not overclocked its a real 650 they underclcoked.) 256 meg ram ,addtronics case w 250watt sp power supply, matrox g400, maxtor diammax 2500+ 10gig hd,5x cldvd region free, 3com 10/100 nic and 56k ext modem, xitel p storm sound card. lots of controlers joystick throttle rudder raceing wheel, and 19in monitor, usb logitech mouse.

    i found the fix for the mouse hang problem.

      Yes the G400's DVD is far better than the Creative Dxr2 on a computer monitor, but the Dxr2 is better when output to TV (IMHO).
