Our last CRT TV gave up the ghost. She was a 32" Sony WEGA that gave long and good service, but lately she had been getting a bit twitchy and finally went black for the last time.
Now the only CRT's around here or in the lab are JVC preview monitors, and even those are of diminishing usefulness.
RIP.....
The first TV I can remember had a round screen and the audio came through our console radio's shortwave band
We still have that radio and use it. Something about the sound of that huge 18" speaker being driven by vacuum tubes.
