  • Safe Mode Boot up Problem

When ever I try to boot up in safe mode, I get an error saying "Himem.sys haas detected unreliable XMS memory at address 02975958" then says XMS driver not installed. So I am unable to boot to safe mode. Is this my RAM or what. Any info would help. Thanks in advance.

    Hi Hitmann,

really sounds like your RAM is causing these problems, because himem.sys only tests the whole installed memory when booting in safe mode (don't know why, but it is that way).
Now just try to get a new RAM chip and look if it works.

    Good luck
