  • Via 4in1 drivers... turbo agp? or normal?

Hi, since the new 4in1 drivers are out im gonna im gonna install them.
but which is best.. ive read that the via chipset AGP isnt the greatest for gaming, so should it be set at turbo, as it is now?
or will normal be more stable?

Q3 and UT run great but i often get unexplicable stuttering in generic D3D games
latest example... FF8 or NFS4 for example

any suggestions you talented knowledgable people??? :O)

    Hi CMB,

What video card are you using???

Turbo mode is the mode that enables AGP 2X (if the video driver passes). Normal mode locks you into 1X mode, and has a bit more conservative memory timings as well. In real life, you will see little difference, but with some video cards, such as the G400, you should be able to run fine in Turbo mode. If you have, say a G200, stick with normal mode.

Try hitting ctrl alt delete, and shutdown PDESK, and see if this helps.
