Two weeks ago Weather Station computer/server gave up the ghost.
Got a replacement motherboard slapped the old components in and still the same fans spin up nothing else.
Sent it back and Overclockers replaced it.
In the meantime the weather station has been running on a shuttle pc that was my Linux box. I want my Linux box back so I decided to order another Shuttle and a different cpu as it took a whole lot less room up and didn't heat the room up as much.
Today shuttle arrives. So slap in new cpu and old hard drive and memory. Exactly the same thing. Fans spin up but no display.
Take out memory no bleeps or anything try another cpu samething. Another duff board or duff CPU that's now fried the motherboard????
Tomorrow that's been replaced.
In the meantime Overclockers have replaced the dead motherboard so I could try the CPU in that with different mem and hard drive on the bench and see what happens.
If behaves the same ship the whole lot back again.
What's the chances of having two dead cpu's or two dead motherboards????
