Anyone on XP 64bit?

    Are you running Aero and what bells and whistles have you turned off? Are you using IPv6? Printing? Network file copies? Have you tried XP on the same hardware and how did it compare speed wise?

    Yes I know I've asked you some of these questions in person but I would consider going towards Vista if I thought on my home system there was a real benefit. I'm not even convinced that unless I'm photo editing, burning a dvd AND watching a movie that I'd notice the difference between 3GB and 4GB of ram on my system 90% of the time.
    Wikipedia and Google.... the needles to my tangent habit.

      For me - not running Aero, switched back to classic start menu, turned off sidebar/gadgets, switched to classic windows theme, etc etc.

      Basically looks like win2k Or win95

      Haven't done much with it so far, but CoD4 works

        I used Windows XP x64 Edition a while back and had lots of compatibility issues.
        I'm currently using Windows Vista Ultimate 64 bit and it's excellent.
