  • Liveware 3.0

    Hello!

I am curruntly running Liveware 2.0 and would like to upgrade to 3.0 version.

The installation notes suggest me to remove previous Liveware before installing 3.0.

Could please someone suggest me how to safely remove Liveware 2.0?

    Thanks in advance.

    Regards,

    Daniele.

I believe that there is an unistall program you can use. Start -> Programs -> Creative -> ...Uninstall (?). I don't know if it unstalls the drivers and everything, but you could try. I am not at my home PC right now so I don't have access to the exact program bar menu items.

      daniele,

during the 3.0 installation it will remove any previous installation...go forward with the installation. mine went without a hitch. my live and g400 share the same irq with no problems...good luck

I am also using v. 2 if liveware and was thinking of upgrading but my measily 56k modem takes forever to download this so I was wondering what new features you guys have found with 3.0.Just trying to see if it's worth it. Is there a seperate driver update other than liveware, I was on the site and saw two different things, can someone clear it up for me? Thanks in advance.

The MP3 player, is good. Its sounds better than winamp.
Lava thingy is quite cool (visual representation of sound)
The setup stuff for speakers and headphones has been enhanced.
The semi transparent mixer is cool, You can see through it while playing movies.(not sure if that was in version 2?)
            I thought is worth downloading.
(yeah, I downloaded at a krappy 56k, well 45k really)

That reminds me. I've had the liveware 3.0 downloaded for 2 months now but haven't installed it. The only thing that sucks is that I have to order the CD to get Wave Studio 4.0. I really like Wave Studio because it does a lot for the little things I do but it has a few annoying bugs.
