Holly, did I get that right, you used some drive bios overlay software (e.g. Ontrack DiskManager or Seagate DriveWizard/EZ-Drive)to access the full capacity of your drive?

1st step: Back up your data!
It will be lost if you use some of the following methods.

To get rid of the DiskManager (or whatever drive overlay software) you should first try to uninstall it using the procedure provided by this software. If that is not possible, remove partitions completely reboot and repartition using WIN98s FDISK. Reformat and you are done. Don't install your drive overlay again.

Your BIOS should have LBA as the drive access method, not LARGE and of course not NORMAL.

Partition Magic for some reason sometimes fails to report the drive's size correctly. There must be a bug in it. We had this phenomenon on several machines after upgrading from Win95 to Win98, but also the Operating System showed inconsistencies for the size although everything seemed to work as it should have.

I need a little more input on this. Tell me more about your mobo, bios and drives.

    Regards, Alegria
