What fun I've just had. Just installed a Abit bf6 motherboard changing from from an Aopen ax6b since I've run out of pci slots. You'd think it would run striaght off. But no windoze 98 wouldn't reboot. Anyway traced the prob to the promise ultra66 card. Removed and the windoze would boot. However it then said the registry corrupt and it will replace it. Thank you windoze on reboot one dead windoze.
Deltree windows rerun setup again install seagate backup and then a quick restore of the 98 diectory and hey presto we're back and running with the promise card installed.
Now why didn't it do this first time around?
