  • Flash and IE7.0 and IE8.0

I had IE7.0 and everytime I want to view flash video's say on Youtube I can't, it says to download flash. I download and install flash and again nothing, it just throws me into an install loop. IE 8.0 the same thing.

FF 3.0 works and Chrome works fine, why is IE 7.0/8.0 having this issue?

    Thanks,
    Elie

Have you disabled ActiveX controls and plug-ins?

Actually it was disabled under security, but even after I enabled it still doesn't work.

      I will keep at it.

      Thanks Xortam

Try to manually run the uninstall strings from a command prompt:
        C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\uninstall_activ eX.exe
        C:\WINDOWS\system32\Macromed\Flash\uninstall_plugi n.exe

Then trash the flash directory and the Macromedia directory if possible and reinstall.

The uninstall strings have changed over the years but they can be found in the usual places. They just do not show in Add/Remove Programs.
