  • new drivers ati & nvidia

    ATI cat 8.9 are out

And interestingly enough a new nvidia nforce driver, in particular this is the first update for nforce motherboards in about 3 years
I guess it should also cover new chipsts as well(including x64)

Well as they say if it ain't broke it needs more features, so I am going to update my aging nforce boards to see if I need more features

I've got a couple of nforce boards, so I'll be interested to hear the result.

My HP Xw9300 workstation has the Nforce chipset for raid and other stuff, I wonder if I should upgrade?

I upgraded one of my systems. (it does use RAID)
One small hickup, it says it has to remove drivers and reboot.

It could not get into windows, got caught in a reboot cycle.
So I went into safe made and installed the drivers there and it worked.

An hour later I worked I should have used the nforce pro 2000 series driver, that installed without a hiccup (nforce pro 2000 is more or less a nforce 4 chipset)

The drivers seem to work well, not sure but things seem a bit snappier.

I will upgrade my other machine tonight.
