Actually Greebe's is like mine a 500 with a 650 core. So in fact he only got 250 out of it

Just trying to point out that someone has a GHz cpu out there working.

LOL now who was it that claimed I had the fastest... ??? Not I. All I'm trying to show is that a oem Athlon 500 for $178 + s/h and my new Eclipse for $75 and that's the kind of proformance you could achieve.

and another thing, That's like comparing a P3 450 to a CUmine 700! How much was that you paid for your 700e, Paul, $750(?) I think that's right

Ok this is an official notice:

ALBPM has a REAL CUmine 700e on the way, so I'm hoping for some serious competition over the next week... Now everyone, bug him!!!

Zenfe, actually it is a 500 as they won't do the 650 spec.

Greebe explain what you meant in your last reply about it being a 500. I thought that you got the week 43 (i think??) or something like that which had a 650 core.

The one I got was an OEM 500 with a 650 core and that is what i thought you were using?

Oh well just please explain your last post

I didn't mean to start an arguement or anything over this, hell I just thought that it was great to show others that someone got an Athlon over 1 GHz.

            thx

Zenfe, yes it does have a 650 core (week42) but it doesn't meet all the requirements of a true 650. All the cpu's are screened, graded and then sorted to it's quatlity/ worst case operation. Voltage could be one and then the thermal charactistics would be another (being grossly oversimplistic here) spec that's off. I know mine won't run 650 with stock settings (1.6v Vcccore), so that may explain in part why it's not packaged as a real 650 and priced accordingly ($480). 750's aren't listed on pricewatch yet, but 700mHz .25u's go for $820! Oi

I'd really like to know how fast that 750 would be if not limited to 1050 by the current pcb design?! Hello... AMD!

I have Win98, think it's a year old, so it must be good... but every 20 minutes I have a GPF. I have a 10.1Gb HDD, and a P3-450, but it always comes to me with its problems..

I bought a CD last week... it said 120 hours of fun on the box... I needed 120 hours to get the darn thing working !!
