I guess the requested slammed their servers. Now all it says is:

        Windows® 7 Beta coming soon!

It will likely pop back up tonight.

          They raised the white flag.

Sunday morning at about 2am pacific might be worth a try.

                Only 900KB/s? Getting 1.2MB/s here.

                Thanks for the link guys.

:: Edit: D'oh! cjolley beat me to the speed thing. Although at home here, so I'm pleased with the 1.2MB/s ::

Now I wonder if the bog down was the web servers you had to go through to get to the files in the first place.
I never got close to starting a download after trying for an hour.
But with the direct link the files are pouring down.

Still have to go back to pick up a beta key if you want it to last longer than 30 days.
(at least that's the way I understand it)

Actually the process is, you must register, you get your licence (activation key) then proceed to the download section. Now you have the files, you still need to get the keys.

Can't help but wonder how many MB is the OS and how many MB is the DRM..

You can install it without the key but you only have 30-days before it locks up or limits your usage. That gives you plenty of time to register for a key once the registration process is back online.

I have it running on an HP 2710P Convertible Tablet PC right now: very nice. Handwriting Recognition is extremely good.

I just installed it on my dual Xeon workstation, and to be honest it is a bit faster than Vista, but to me other than the look itself, the underlying OS (Kernel) etc. is Vista.
It's nice though I am enjoying the new look.

I successfully downloaded the 64 bit but everytime I try to download the 32 bit i says that I am downloading 2.43GB but the download stops at anywhere between 244MB and 360MB.

and I tried from a couple of different sites...including this thread!

                              what gives?
