  • We had our systems down at work for the rollover (not my decision, I proposed not to do it), and when I went back into the office and brought my system back up and re-started SETI, it started downloading a new unit instead of finishing the one it was working on before shutting down on Friday morning.... Hmmm. Not Y2k compliant in it's date / elapsed time calculation?!? At least that's what appears to have happened.... Should have just left it running....

Hopefully I can fend off some of the attacks from bellow with some more horsepower SOON .

      • KvH, there's a problem here - the list that I can see has everyone's Email address on it, and for obvious reasons, I can't just copy the list, I have to edit out all the addresses. There are going to be people (like Matrox guys, for example) who are not going to want their email address shown. Anyone got any bright ideas? let me know.

                • I just noticed that Seti's statistics pages now display 200 members per group (and 200 groups per category); that used to be 100.

Would anyone be interested if I modified my SETI@Murc and SETI club teams statistics pages, to include all 200?

Of course, this means that the page size would double. And perhaps everyone who visits the page is in the top 100 anyway?

                  What do you say?

(Hmm, life would be so much easier if I could run this as a cgi-script...)

Do you havce any clue how I could get it running on our two quad-R10000 Onyx under IRIX 6.5 ???

I already tweaked the heck out of it, but it simply refuses to run and gives error messages ... I already contacted the guys from SETI, but didn't receive an answer since weeks.

... if I could only find out how to run the cmd-line version without a window, because my non-tech colleagues would kill me if I 'abused' their machines ...

Maybe in the next week or so will try to through together another box, with mostly "spare" parts. probably take it to work, to replace my 486SX, at MY cost .
It'll be too late to hold my position but a nice bost none the less.
