    This may be a stupid question but..

    I just purchased a new 19" monitor. >25dp and 1600x1200 @75 and noticed my games seem to play more fluid at the higher resolutions than they did before. Is this because of a higher refresh rate? Anyway i'm pretty happy about it Janes WW2 fighters at 1600x1200x32 and still getting 25-35 fps and amazing as ever. Thanks and have a nice day.

    If you have V-synch enabled, then yes, you might be getting higher framerates.

      Nuno's right,
      If you had v-sync enabled, I bet the games are smoother now. Try an OpenGL game, since I believe that v-sync is disabled with the latest GL stuff from Matrox. It should seem about the same as before.
      Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

        Yes I do have Vsync enabled but I do not have any games that run on open gl, i only play NFSHS,ww2 fighters, usaf,Drakan,ect I have never been into the whole quake,halflife scene. Sorry but thanks for your response
