    Hi CMB,

I read over your thread in Video. For starters here are my Bios settings for the my Bios for my BE6.
    http://home.att.net/~albpm2/be6current.txt

The Soft MenuII and PNP/PCI Config sections will be different than yours. I don't know what processor your using at this point/ I do have two IBM ATA/66 harddrives and a SCSI CDR .

Here is a blank bios file to save and write in your settings.

I have a G400MAX in mine. I'm not set up for video. Check through the Bios settings and set your Hard drives to 4 in the High Point setup page when you boot up.

nope, i used to overclock it to 494 and 504
but i havent overclocked it this year

I got my new drive and added it as a slvae to my DVD drive
then my dvd playback went screwy
this prompted me to buy a new motherboard on the word of my pals who both have totally troublew free Abit Be6 one has a g400 and once has a TNT2, anyhow i go the abit with the view that it would fix DVD probs, and i would be able to add another hard drive at a later date...

well we all know how that plan turned out dont we :O)

but now im running my p3 at the default 450/100 setting

Are you using any AT/33 Drives on the ATA/66 contoller?? If you slave these in with ATA/66 Hard Drives it will run at the slower speed. Some ATA/66 Hard Drives require a patch to revert to AT/33 speed.

                          A BREAKTHROUGH??? kind of

in the archives of MURC i found this http://forums.murc.ws/ubb/Forum2/HTML/002221.html

where a fellow BE6 owner describes the exact problem i have... He resigned himself to put up with it, but surely that defeats the purpose of having a marvel. and the ability to video capture?

i wonder is this an inherrant problem bewteen the marvel and the BE6???

It looks like he switched to a Tyan mobo and still had the problem. I'm beginning to wonder if it could be the Marvel.

                            Anyone else have ideas here......

                              hmmm i didnt see that.
My marvel used to be fine though.
This time last week it was flawless for video.
I think i posted in a forum that i had never had video problems, that is im sure the main reaosn for all the shit im going through now :O)
maybe it is the marvel but for whatever reason they sure dont like each other (motherboard and graphics card i mean)
