Is it ok if I install the 5.50 Beta drivers over my current drivers (5.41)?

I wouldn't. People have claimed recently that they have successfully installed driver updates over old Matrox drivers, but I think it is a bad idea, particularly when Matrox makes it so easy for you.

I would recommend that you use the unistaller, after rebooting, install the standard VGA driver, and install the new drivers from there.

I've never uninstalled the old driver before install the new (even with 5.50) and I've never experienced any problem with this way of life
Did anyone experienced any problem with 5.50? it's looks stable for me.

My question exactly... v5.41 had big problems with my SS7 board and the AMD K6-2 - do I risk trying 5.50???
