    Gurm, (whoever - Ouch!)

I agree totally on the re-install vs. "write-over mess". I only placed that there so that some (including some of my technically challenged co-workers "Hey how come the computer don't turn on when I turn on my monitor?") would see that it's technically feasible...

There's always been a world of difference between "Can we do this?" vs. "Should we do this?". I find myself constantly fighting a loosing battle on that front...

I typically re-install my system about once every 30-45 days, just because I've played with so many trials/betas/bloatware, that I can't get my system back to normal anymore.

Nothing so far, except the 98/NT Twain driver of my SCSI Acer 300F scanner doesn't work, so I am waiting for Acer to come out with a W2K set of driver.
