  • Any recommandations on a TV-tuner card!?

    Hello.

I'd just like to know if anyone has any recommandations on a TV-tuner card, which shouldn't be too fancy. Actually it should be as cheap as possible. The demands for the card are: PAL-standard, Teletext and able to work with a G400 vanilla. Preferrable a PCI-card.

    Anyone?

    Hi!

Check Matrox and Hauppage. Should be among the best but I dont have any personal experience, only rumours.
Even ATI's if u get ATI TV wonder -PCI (in PAL?)
ATI's plain TV card (which takes power from
ISA slot) is quite ok & cheap but needs ATI vc. I had one when I still had ATI's 'accelerator'.
Only problem was mono sound & 'saturating' white ie. u couldnt get much contrast without
blooming white.(Maybe because of its 12bit colors). Sharpness was comparable to and usability IMHO better than Matrox TV cards.
