Turning off Busmastering on AsusK7M in Win2K

I was just wondering how you turn off busmastering windows 2000. I tried the latest via ide busmastering drivers but it said that it doesnt support windows 2000. I'm trying to get my marvel g200 to work with power desk 4.07. But after i install the drivers and reboot, it just freezes at a black screen. I remember seeing somewhere that somebody suggested to turn off the busmastering. Would this effect my performance greatly under win2k.
Any help would be appreciated
