Technically it's a six-core with Hyperthreading, Chucky Technically you should add an 8-core and 12-core. Both Intel and AMD have 8-core and AMD has a 12-core.

We only get 10 poll options Next year I will eliminate 2x single core, and maybe even single triple core, since apparently no one bought any.

My main rig is still my dual Xeon... 2x single core with hyperthreading, trusty old computer (8 years or so and counting).
My next purchase will be some i7 probably (but haven't decided yet) to replace the one I had last year. Still it will be more of a media system, so I guess the rig I would still work most on is the dual xeon...

Doc, how do you like the Rampage mobo?? I was looking at the specs and like the 3 PCIe slots so I could have some space between my Xfire 6950s. The third PCIe on my P6T is only x4 so I can't use it.

I can't speak to Crossfire/SLI as I only use 1 card, but the board is a big one - no compact cases for it. Overclocks pretty easy and seems stable doing it.

So far this combo runs like a friggin' werewolf on crack.

                        ROFL Doc!!!!!

I figured out my heat issues....I had around a 15 to 20 dgree difference between my two 6950s.

I bit the bullet and replaced the thermal paste on the GPU on my hot card and they are matched within 3-4 degrees now.

I also unlocked the shaders in my 6950 bios so I have the full 1536 Shaders that the 6970 has....

I didn't want to flash the 6970 bios because many that did the 6970 bios flash has killed their 6950s after a few weeks.

I also used my Evil Empire employee discount and added a 160GB Intel Solid state HD.
