    Yes, I meant to say 2 SATA-III but mixed up the numbers... Either way, most manufacturers add a Marvel controller with 2 more SATA-III ports. And as the first (or is it the first two?) SATA-II ports are not affected, this already gives 5-6 ports; more than enough for most oem or laptops.

      Huh? It's the first two ports which are SATA-III which are not affected and all four SATA-II are, no?

        Aaarghh, I keep messing it up... yes, the SATA-III ports are not affected, but the SATA-II ports are...
        (need coffee)
        So 2 of the 6 ports are ok, as most mainboards add a Marvell, this gives you 2 more ports...
