3 sticks of ram in a Asus P2b-s, any probs ?

Hey all, anyone using a Asus P2b-s with 3 stick of ram total 384mb, I would get random lockups,total freeze once every couple a weeks. So I pulled 1 stick out and bingo, solid as the proverbial. It did'nt matter whether I had other hardware installed or not, lockups were all the same, actually became worse with a matrox G400 in place.I'm thinking this is a Asus mobo limitation as everything else was systematically ruled out. Any answers appreciated

haven't heard of that before ...

I'm using the Asus P2B-DS here at work with 4x 128MB RAM ... no prob.

Make sure having the latest BIOS installed (1011 for your P2B-S).

I think it's rather one of your DIMMS causing the prob and to find out, you should shuffle through all combinations (all of two pairs and maybe even all alone on their own)

Hi, yeah did all that, bios and the ram are all fine, I'll try slot 4 instead of 3 and see how that goes.
