Win2k performance tweaks

I know how to tweak windows 98 to run the fastest, but now having moved to win2k I am not sure what if anything can be altered for optimal speed.

So far I have found a reg setting

that claims tha t win2k only uses 256k or l2 cache by default is this true and any body tried changing this?

Any other tips
