Sorry Jorden. I know how to spell your name. It was just carelessness on my part.

Guess what? Mainboard information crashes my computer to the point where even hitting reset won't bring it back to life. I have to power off, and power back on! What a joke...

Same here. If I hit the reset button, the machine won't boot. I've benchmarked the machine with the new Sandra (both CPU and memory) without incident. So far, it only happens when I try to access "Mainboard Information."

It does this on a test machine, but not on my primary system. Both machines have G400's.

The computer it works on is clocked at spec and has an Asus P2B-F mainboard and a PIII 600 MHz Katmai.

The computer it crashes is overclocked to 133 MHz and has an AOpen AX6BC Pro II Millenium Edition and a PIII 600E at 800 MHz.

Sandra has never really gotten along with AOpen's hardware monitoring software, although I figured the overclock might have something to do with it as well.

I fixed this by disabling "Include Programable Clock Generator (PLL IC) Information."

I did this by right clicking on the "Mainboard Information" icon on the "Information Modules" screen, selecting "Module Options...," and unchecking the box next to the option.

Possibly, you're experiencing another incompatibility. If this doesn't work, check out the Sandra FAQ.

                      Hi Paul,

                      Thanks for the headsup!

                      Ah, no win2k support....

There will be a new version of Sandra dedicated to W2k. Here's the link about the new product, called Samantha:

                        It should be out shortly.

Cool! The memory benchmark and integer mmx/fp simd seem to got fixed too. How athlon performs, there could possibly be no way of those scores being much lower than intel/bx counterparts.

Speaking of memory benchmarks, I noticed my scores weren´t quite on par with the athlon 600 reference scores. So I tweaked memory settings in the bios, and now I got from 5750 3dmarks99 to 5966... memory setting do make a difference
