Changing settings in user profile doesn't make any differeance. Don't worry I've tried that.

Thanks for the info. Looks like we're stuck with it. What a stupid system. I can understand it for a roaming profile but when this isn't required an option should be available to prevent this from happening.Comment

Ha got it. If you just remove the preferred server Novell client doesn't know where to save the profile and leaves it on the machine.
