  • Best Burning Software????

Ok I have a HP 7200i rewritable (dont start hehe it has always worked great for me) and I have Winoncd 3.6. Nero 4.0 and the latest Fireburner which I have not tried yet. My question is, Which burning software is the best or most reliable copying wise? I have had hardly any problems with winoncd 3.6 but wonder if Nero, cdrwin or fireburner would be better. Please educate me Thx

    Hi jediphoenix.

I can't agree more. All the programs are spoken bout. He knows what he is talking bout. Listen to Gurm.

Funny though... I don't know Gurm but we are using the same program for the same things... Almost like twins Can only mean one thing, we are right bout burning.

I like Nero Burning-ROM the best. It has a good, easy to use interface and has a ton of great burning options for people who 'backup' those important CD's.

CDR Win is also very good. It is one of the best for copying CD's.

Adaptec Easy CD is good and easy to use, but I have had troubles with version 4.0 on my computer so I do not use it anymore.

Fireburner and Blindread make for a great combo if your CD-R is compatible with both. Unfortunately, Blindread is not compatible with my Plextor 8/4/32 (that's a first).

I mean what kind of a burning program doesn't automatically read and burn ISO files. Boo for nero. Haven't used CDRWIN or Fireburner (damn that was a MONSTER SLAM by Vince Carter) DAMN. Should get them and try, as soon as I get another burner (screwed mine up when my KB went bad as I was flashing the firmware). EZCD creator IS bloated but as you say has a great interface and lots of features and mostly just works, even on my VIA based SS7 POS

Three programs pretty much have me covered on a Plextor 8432...CeQuadrat's WinOnCD, CeQuadrat's Packet CD, and Paddis Disk Juggler. Took the bloody EZCD Creator and played frizbee with it after I figured out that Spin Doctor (which is what I bought it for) would not do DAO. And the bloody Adaptec software *chokes* on ANY kind of copy protection. Friggin' useless...
I have Nero too, but WinOnCD is 100* easier to use.

Sorry to hear you've had such probs with Adaptec's stuff, EchoWars. I use it all the time to transfer some of my audio tapes to CD. I usually use Spin Doctor to get record the stuff onto my hard drive (into .WAVs, letting it clean them up some), then go directly into Creator and use that to write them to the CD. This way, you can do DAO if you like, although I usually don't (as it removes any separation between my songs, unlike TAO).
