Determining .18 micron Athlon (Greebe?)

    Determining .18 micron Athlon (Greebe?)

    Is there any way of determining if a Athlon is a .18 micron core using software like wCpUID?
    Here are the chip specs for my friends chip:

    Processor 1 : AMD Athlon (Model 2)/554540BA
    Platform : Slot A (SC242 Connector)
    Vendor ID : AuthenticAMD
    Type ID : 0 (0)
    Family ID : 6 (7)
    Model ID : 2 (2)
    Stepping ID : 1 (1)
    Brand ID : 0 (0)

    The chip was bought as a 650, but im curious if its a .25 or a faster .18 chip. Thanx all!

    Have you opened the case?... well if not look into it (where the connector is) the center chip is the cpu. The part that's touching the heat plate is the core substrate and if it's ~5/8" (~16mm) wide then it's a .25u. If it's signifcantly smaller, then it's a .18!
