I am kind of fed up with daily Firefox crashes, so I'm trying out Opera. As I see AdBlock Plus works, looks like I'll keep it.

I don't like Chrome - don't like UI design, don't like the phoning home part.

when you say 'opera', what do you mean?

The Opera with Presto render engine (12.x)?

Or the skinned Chromium one which lacks 90% of the functionality which made Opera to be Opera?

    I'm still using 12 here (v12.17)

      I'm on 20 - the KHTML offspring.

All the functionality I need is find as you type (need to press CTR+F in Opera but I'm using so much of other PCs I got used to it), adblock plus. There's no bugmenot for 20 but I can go to firefox for that.

The problem with Firefox is that there's no per tab process and with many tabs it crashes.

I also occasionally use IE for legacy sites.

Maybe you should check out the daily Firefox crashes.

I've been running it for a while, and it seems very stable.
Much more than my system, that is rarely powered down, or rebooted.
Running adblock and ghostery, no probs.

edit : runing 28.0, its updating now.

Wow, talk about a bloody change.
          29.0 is all "Chrome-lookie"
I almost freaked when I saw Opera in the top left corner, the Firefox has gone Lucky its the name of the thread (and i'm well off topic).

I also use Peerblock, currently blocking 1912634034 IP's

Ctrl and something has changed the language LOL

edit : Got it, Ctrl + Shift changes the language...

I've had Firefox issues for a few weeks. I finally discovered the problem.
OCSP is enabled by default in Firefox and disabled by default in chrome. Not sure of Opera.
Since Heart-bleed many certificates are no longer valid................

I'm on Opera 12.17. Way better than the Teletubby version 22 that I test when it gets upgraded. The took a perfectly functional Opera 12 and dumbed it down to Opera Next. Sure O12 needed some compatibility work but not what it ended up as..

                So far OK.

                Features missing:
                - custom search engines. Sometimes I want to search piratebay or answers or dict.leo.org or wikipedia specifically, it saves a step before going to that website although I could add them to speed dial
                - middle click on back button doesn't open previously visited page in new tab
                - rightclick > view image
