      All authentic WIN 98/NT4/W2K CD-ROMS is bootable!

      That means;
      when pirats puts a txt file with serials on the copied disk the part with the Boot code is lost!

      If I had a nickle for every idiot who shows up at my work and wants help with installing win 9x from a scratched, thumbprinted badly burnd pirate copy i could almost buy a new car!

        Thanks for your help everybody, I managed it though. It turns out that my only problem was that my "fixed" floppy was still quite broken. As soon as I replaced that, everything went smoothly and I managed to install my RETAIL copy of both win98 & win98 S.E.!!!
