How hot is hot for the CPU?

I managed to get it running stable (so far) at 112fsb at 2.00 volts, and I am getting a reading of 560mhz. I have left the PCI at 1/3 (CUZ..my ram is 100mz, and it won't let me run it at 1/4) and AGP at 2/3.

So, my heat sensor in SandraSys is 50 deg Celcius...hot hot can it go safely with retail Intel heatsink and standard fan? 55...60?

Huh? at 112Mhz FSb you are running your memory at ...

      Wait for it...

      112MHZ

Your PCI ratio doesn't effect your memory speed. Only your PCI (and IDE, because it on the PCI bus) speed. At 112 you would want to run at at 1/3. above about 117MHZ you should run it at 1/4. At 117MHz it's a toss up. If it works at the high speed, go for it; if not underclock the PCI for reliability (ie. run at 1/4 or 29MH). Try 120 again, but at 1/4 and you should have better luck.

As for your temp, this sounds rather high to me. I have a 550@773 (ie 133 FSB) and 'only run about 30C (90F), with the retail HSF (for the time being).
