    The MVP3 chipset. Ahh, memories.
Gigabyte P35-DS3L with a Q6600, 2GB Kingston HyperX (after *3* bad pairs of Crucial Ballistix 1066), Galaxy 8800GT 512MB, SB X-Fi, some drives, and a Dell 2005fpw. Running WinXP.

Got a 160 gig WD1600JB from Sams for $80. It's transfer rate is twice that of the WD400BB that was my main drive and three times faster than that old Maxtor, plus there's the 8 meg cache. It's also much quieter than the Maxtor, those FDB seem to work pretty well. I just put g4u on a CD-RW and used it to make a byte-by-byte clone my 40 gig onto the 160 and then partitioned the rest of the drive in one big chunk, didn't feel like using linux-ntfs to resize the partition.
