Maybe your mobo booklet said to pry out the CMOS battery as well

Yawnnnn, okay, off to work here...

Edit: Although this one hurts, Dimi...
Ok, now that my system is back up and running (which I owe entirely to my roommate - Long)
........... so did your roommate give you help on how to make your emergency (reflash) start-up disk as well? Or was prying out your CMOS battery the only thing you needed to do?

It's kind of a low comment. Why come all the way here for help then when in the end, you listen to Long only?

    Next time... whatever.

    Jord.

Hey Jord!!! What's up dude!?! I was kidding!!! No need to take offense. I didn't need to use the boot disk, but now I know how to do it. That's more useful to me than just thinking of some random triviality which solved the problem. Calm yourself. It's all good. I suppose this is one of those non-face-to-face miscommunications that would not have happened if we had actually spoken. Sorry dude. I really was kidding.

Hey D/m: (I haven't spelled it right yet, so what the hell)

        KEEP THAT DISK!!

Even though the "battery out" trick worked, Jord was taking you through some clear and documented procedures, that will work...every time...when you need it if the battery trick don't work.

Glad to know all is well...until next time

Maybe some time I'll get up the courage to buy UT and take you on.

Congrats again on your successful re-emergence into cyberspace.

                  Oh God!

                  Dimitri the flasher!

No kiddin, guy. Be VERY careful. Dead BIOS's can be very nasty things indeed.

                  Lotsa Luck!
