Here's a question for you all...

      I use ZA2 (don't know which version - a month old, maybe). I haven't had a single notification.

I run with Full protection mode and have a single computer hooked to a cable modem. No software is set up as a server.

Am I just not getting probed at all or did I set something up incorrectly? GRC says it can't see anything (good!) and I'm in full stealth mode.

        Andy,

Give us your IP number and we'll mass ping you

        Jorden.
When I chose to go out
I always leave the light on
when I have to stay in,
you always find me by the phone.

My friends tell me that I'm lucky,
now that I'm living on my own,
and while they've never been more right,
can someone tell me when will love come home?

        DJ Jean,- Love come home.

Before Jord begins his mass pinging campaign, double click the little systray icon, click configure, and check "show the alert popup window"

You may not see that option unless you drag the whole popup configure window to the top of your screen.

Thank god you can turn it off, cause you'll be shocked at how many attempts you'll get.

          Happy Paranoia!

          Whozzat!! OH NOOOOO!

What am I missing? I don't have the "show alert popup window" box to check or uncheck...

When I check for updates, it says none available (I've got 2.0.6)

I didn't register before (I just did) - could that be why?

To be honest, in the old version of Zone-Alarm this pop-up window was under the LOCK option in the menu (as andrei said).

In the new Zone-Alarm it's under Alerts in the menu. I let it log to the textfile now

Okay - I see it under lock. What's up with the update tho? I tell it to check and it says no updates. Is it because my registration is 'pending'? And what does 'pending' mean and how long does it take?

You can upgrade by downloading the installation package for version 2.1.7 like you did for 2.0.x earlier. There's no separate upgrade installation even though one can get that impression.
