Im currently running win2000 proffesional on my Asus P2b-DS motherboard. My problem i that the tastmanager indicates, that the processors are working at about 50% load all the time. Has anybody else had this problem and how can it be solved? Im currently running CPUIdle to keep the processors from getting too hot.

Goje, if you edit the first post (your first post) in either of these two threads, you can delete the complete thread by checking the delete box in the upper left corner, then hit submit.
Or we could wait for Ant to come by and delete it

Problem description
When Windows 2000 is configured in ACPI mode installed on those mentioned motherboards, one processor will be observed busy at all time even if the system has been idle for a while.
How to resolve
For fully support ACPI MP mode requires both a BIOS upgrade and hardware rework.
All ASUS multi-processor motherboards will be reworked before shipping out as from Oct. 01, 1999.
