Microstation SE and the g400 card

anyone out there using microstation with the g400. I have a max w/ 256mb mainboard memory and win98 se. I'm kind of perturbed because the software runs much better on my NT system at work (even though it is a p2 200 w/ 64 mb). Are there any settings within the program that I need to adjust in order to make it run better? The system at work uses a g200 card. You'd think the settings would be the same.

Can it totally be win98 fault?

pIII 500, aopen ax6bc mobo, ibm 22gxp hard drive, g400 max, xitel storm sound card, toshiba md1212 dvd, dual viewsonic ps790's.
