G400 MAX & 550e mismatched?
Does anyone know if an overclock 550e -> 733 is too powerful for a G400 MAX? I currently have an overclocked Celeron at 581, and was wondering if this is already high enough to hit the MAX's maximum theoritcal fill rate. I was thinking about upgrading to the flip chip but then again if I will see only marginal improvements, I will stay with my current processor. My other components is able to take the higher bus speed by the way so I have no problems there. Does anyone have any comment?

It depends on what you do with your system. For me, the upgrade to a 550E overclocked was well worth it. I don't play a whole lot of games, but do a lot of programming/compiling, burning cd's, etc.
EDIT: OH, and you will notice a pretty damn nice improvement in gaming over that of your celeron.

Yep, cache is the deal, fast fast fast. Expect your 3d Marks to double themselves. Mine did!
