    Intel to replace defective PC motherboards

    And maybe some bad news as well:
    "We know that the number of PCs with this particular configuration is less than 1 million," said Intel spokesman Michael Sullivan. "It's not the bulk by any means, but we will replace boards if the user would like to have a replacement instead"
    "less than one million" is "not the bulk by any means"? Sheesh, could they be a little more dismissive of a whole lot of customers??

    Well, get the board if you need it, anyway...

        Yeah, but only the fact that The next athlons won't work in the current VIA KX133 socket A mobo's. No recalls afaik.

          Are Intel going to give these users Rambus simms as well as the replacement boards supports rimms only?

            They'll replace with new board and rdram if you bought it as a complete system through the oem, however, if you only bought the board aftermarket then they'll replace the mobo or refund through your dealer
