Is there an inexpensive device which lets me bring video into my imac, edit it on the computer, and then put the edited stuff back onto tape?

No offence, but I really doubt you will get much iMac help here. This is primarily a Matrox forum, and since Matrox is not currently producing anything for the iMac, we just don't see very many users here.

Have you searched for an iMac users group or forum?
