  • New Zone Alarm out with email protection!

Not that I expect any of you to open up an email attachement in your email, when you don't know the person who sent it, or just don't trust it.

But now the new ZoneAlarm helps you with it as well. Version 2.10.25 sports MailSafe.

"[i]ZoneAlarm now features MailSafe to stop email-borne Visual Basic Script worms, like the "I Love You" virus, "dead-in-its-tracks", thwarting its spread, and preventing it from wreaking havoc on your PC. ZoneAlarm makes ironclad Internet security easy-to-use."

I think they may have removed it. I went across yesterday to download via the update but the connection was busy. I went back later but there later but zone alarm said there weren't any updates.

If you used the 'Check for Updates' feature within ZA, don't bother - go to the site and download the latest version.

I've never seen the Check for Updates button actually work before...

I went to the site and found an update. Just run the install program and it'll install over your current version.

It also helps when you enable Java script etc. I had disabled that trying to get on this server since it was being it's normal slow self. I see now it's speeded up again.

TP, for downloading the thing you don't need Javascript (neither for these fori, luckily), but for reading some of their links and stuff, yeah, you do

I downloaded the new version of ZoneAlarm. Now I want to intall it. Do I have to uninstall the current version first or can I just install the new one over the current one.

              Regards,

              Matt

Just install over the old version of ZA, but make sure you unload ZA from memory first.
