Final Check: BF6 + CuMine

Yea - go with Chuck - after all he's at 910MHz!

BF6 has 6 PCI slots with a choice of whether to put a U66 card in the 6th one.

BE6-II has an integrated PCI slot with a U66 controller and another 5 free.

The prices for a BF6 and separate U66 controller ain't much more and it allows more flexibility.

All the other stuff is the same (2 U33, Com/lpt/usb etc, ISA and the SoftMenuIII or whatever number it's upto)

My decision is still going on - my supplier just ran out of S1's - damn - should've been quicker! Now I'll have to start thinking about Abit's SloKETIII and some FCPGA chips/coolers.

Oh well.

-- Just to confirm that the Be6-II has 2 U66s in addition to the U33s - the Bf6 just has 2 U33s
And of course you could always get an IDE RAID at a later stage or U100 if you go for the BF6. And I've heard of some problems with the BE6-IIs and it's U66 controller though - so you may want to investigate that some more.

It's mostly stable at 148, but I do some contract programming at home and can't afford the random lockup.
