    Hello all!

well, took about two+ hours to get everything neat and pretty in my case
Using the non-water system first to see how she does

I am now speaking to you @ a new fsb of 133 for 667 top speed! bwahahaha

Tried running @ 140 but was unstable with L2 enabled in 3d (ran fine with L2 off but what good is that )

The temp of the cpu is 70f and the case is 78f with room temp of 72f, cool

I'll run this for a few days and play with some settings to see if it'll do better then the cumine goes in

its good to see you've got your peltier, its better than the experience i had a few days ago. i tried to order a mc370-3 peltier cooler from swiftech but no dice. there i was drooling over the prospect of tucking this puppy on my coppermine when suddenly its comes up with a zip code error in the order form. i try it again same thing. it kept asking for a 5 digit zip code which there are none in australia(4 digits in oz). i checked the first page of the order form and its says it takes orders from australia. i got really pissed off so i sent 'em and email. that was over a week (+ 2 more emails)ago and still no answer from the buggers. as you can imagine i'm a little annoyed at the moment. has anyone had a similar issue, is there a way around it because i still want to get this cooler.
      cheers.

Cancer, grow up and act like an adult and see if that helps. Ever heard the expression, you can attract more bee's with honey than you can with vinegar?
Now go and write a curtious and respectful email. I bet you get a warmer responce.

                  hello there!

After seeing my cpu temp rise to over 80f, I went looking for similar situations on the web and found an article about the compound on the MC-1000 being dry along with adding a cold plate to the TEC

When looking at the unit I noticed it came with a copper cold plate already installed...cool

So I proceeded to dismantle it (pretty easy) and found the compound between the cold plate and the TEC as well as between the TEC and heatsink to be dried up and "clumpy" causing a bad heat transfer!

Once all the old stuff was cleaned off, I reapplied my own compound on all points and reinstalled the unit

Then took it back out so I could put the thermal probe on....DOH!

Unbeleivable! The new cpu temp is 55f at rest and 61f at heavy load, and this is with a higher room and subsiquently a higher case temp!

Unfortunately, the 4ns cache on the cpu just won't run @ the 140fsb although it will make it through 3dmark2000 and @ a forced 2x with the L2 disabled

Next up, Cumine cookin'! with a little more wine (insert Julia Childs accent here)
