  • Is Asus playing games?

It seems that the Asus Duron/Tbird mobo may or may not ship with the multiplier overclocking features.
    Asus hasn't decided yet!
    Info is here. http://www.overclockers.com/
Once there stroll down to find the links.

I can see their problem, if they include a means of overclocking they get another factor in issues resulting in RMAs. Also if AMD decides to make this form of overclocking invalid, then the motherboard will be incompatible with future versions of the Duron/Thunderbird.

I think you'll be upgrading the motherboard as soon as DDR chipsets come out so most folks going Duron would be able to live with the default speeds plus bus overclocking for the duration.

The latest rumour is that they have indeed removed the dip-switches.

But the BIOS now offers multiplier modifications.
