No, there isn't anything like that for the serial port. BTW MeMPS2 is a much better program, and the newer microsoft/logitech drivers have such a function built-in by default.

Hunsow, how do you access this built-in functionality, if you want to up the frequency from the default 80 Hz?

If I remember correctly there is a slider somewhere in the preferences. I'm using USB so I can't check. It might also be possible to do it with the device manager (in the system properties), just rightclick on the mouse there and choose properties.

I've checked the places you suggest, but there's nothing there.
I seem to remember I saw it once in v3.1, but at that time I had it on USB.
I only noticed it because after some DOS Partition Magic on PS2 I forgot to move it back, and I didn't play with it (the settings that is).
Well, I'm kind of ambivalent about which plug to choose. At the moment I choose PS2, because my CUSL2 is slow as hell (5 sec. in hell) at boot if I use USB.

I've got an usb mouse and using the ps/2 mouse sampling rate give the mouse a personal intelligency.
            Try it!!

If you're still looking for the 'overclocking' of the PS/2 port for logitech mice, open up the Mouse Control Panel Applet go to the Motion tab and at the top is speed and acceleration, I believe the acceleration will change the PS/2 sample rate. It's right next to a sider for the speed Hunsow, which is probably what you were thinking of but it is radio buttons.
