'Unfortunately the Maxtor DM40+ UDMA 66 does not support the AMSET utility, our description will be updated as soon as possible'

Well I just turned off Acoustic Managment on my Maxtor DM40+ 20GB UDMA100 HD I bought last week ,the util even detected my lousy onboard highpoint udma controler it doesn't seem to make alot more noise and the speed improvement is hard to notice, I'm gonna try the Sisoft Sandra HD benchmark later to see what gives...
