The prices were a bit higher, but for guaranteed CB0 stepping, I guess it's worth it. Went ahead and ordered one. Hopefully can re-sell the 850 as slightly used - only 1 week... Or make a 4th system from it... LOL

Any takers interested... Great CPU - doesn't OC as well, but good for someone wanting fast speed, stability without the "HASTLE" of OC'ing. Will sell for current 7/31/2000 - listed price @ googlegear ($444 USD) (including original packing materials, box, certificates,etc... for current asking price - will pay for shipping in continental US, share expense for outside)...

Hey - gotta try and reclaim the cash somehow.

          The SL49G is a cBO....

Just got the P3-750, slot1, cBO stepping.
          The SL# is SL3XP.

It runs at 124 X 1/3 at 1.65v no problem. I still can't get past the WN Splash screen at 133MHz. It must be either my memory or the darned HighPoint controllers flaking out as DuRaNgO already mentioned.

I tried 1.80v even at 133 X 1/4 and still can't get past the Splash Screen.

Oh well, 930Mhz ain't that bad

Forgot to add my new SIG which will be changing again shortly. I should recieve the
P3-800, FCPGA, cBo stepping and BX133-RAID mobo tomorrow. The memory won't get here till next Tuesday.
This current setup will make a heck of a system for the wife

                EWWWWW!!! DuRaNgO!!!!!

When I put the BE6 and this processor in the wife's system I won't be using the ATA/66 controller. We'll see if that's the snag to reaching the 133MHz FSB speed.

I bumped the voltage up to 1.70v due to a few hangs while booting into Windows. It's running at 32 DegC, nice and cool with the Alpha P3125.

Everything is up and running except I'm having problems with PCI slot 5. I tried two different SB Live and a network card in the slot and it appears to have a problem. So the mobo will be RMA'd on Monday.

There are a lot of new features in Soft Menu III that II didn't have which I like.
It also appears that the new High Point 370 controller doesn't like high FSB speeds either. I can't get above 124MHz using this controller. Since the mobo is going back I'll play with it a bit and use the primary IDE and make some more overclocking attempts.
I still haven't got a good heatsink/fan so I won't push this processor too hard yet. The Intel heatsink/fan looks really whimpy on these FCPGA processors.

Anyone know who has the Alpha PAL35t in stock?????

The fifth PCI slot on the Abit BX133-RAID is not a bus-mastering slot. That might be the problem. The SBlive! and all LAN cards I've tried do not work in a non bus-mastering slot.

Or you could take up video work and put a Rainbow Runner G-Series in it.
