Damn Paul, that is a lot of posts. Anyway, I'm not keen on spending $500 (US or Canadian) on a graphics card. Although the speed is tempting, I'll stick to my trusty G400Max for my work and gaming. Heck, I reinstalled my dual Voodoo2 cards to play Diablo II. Also, my second computer is a Celeron 466, o/c to 582, on a ABIT LM6. That's right, a LX chipset. This PC has the original TNT graphics card and the machine still rocks. It's no screamer in Q3, but it handles the job quite well.
Aside from the speed, the GF2 Ultra doesn't offer any new features to the table. Sure, I wish the G400 was faster, but the bump mapping and dual head, especially the dual head, are the features that made me run out and buy this video card.
I'm not sure if I'll still be using the G400MAX card 3-5 years down the road. As usual, I'll probably pass this down as I get newer components for myself, probably the next gen Matrox offering.
