  • How little abuse can a dram take?

I not much of a overclocker, but yesterday I felt happy... I have a asus k7v motherboard and two simms, one 128Mb-133MHz and a 64Mb-100MHz. I thought that if I got the computer to run with a 107MHz bus I'll get my 700MHz athlon running at almost 750MHz. But the computer didn't start, the bios went into safe-mode (nice thing actually). Then I decided to try with 105MHz. And what happends? The computer didn't start now either and I couldn't get to the bios anymore!!!
Now the computer sounds like a freakin' police siren (one high beep, one low and looping)!! I checked in my manual and there it said that one long beep looping ment that no dram detected/installed!!!

Did the memory stop working? I mean, I overrun it with 5 lousy MHz!

What should I do (I wont overclock anymore, that's for sure) ??

Maybe you just charged something a little funky. Now that the charge drained, you're all better.
